The design
Gilded Script sets warm gold-toned cherry blossom linework against a near-black background. The main branch stretches from the lower left across the bottom of the composition, with a smaller flowering sprig in the upper right. Broad areas of black give the bright outlines a clear, deliberate presence.
Open flowers, tightly closed buds, and slender leaves share the same fine illustrative treatment. The branches retain their irregular character, and a few scattered petals break away beneath them, bringing movement to the otherwise composed layout.
Part of the Sakura Script Series: nine colorways of one cherry blossom composition.
