The design
Forest Script pairs a deep forest green background with pale champagne-toned cherry blossom linework. A flowering branch enters from the lower left and reaches across the lower portion of the mat, while a smaller sprig balances the upper right. The open center gives the rich green plenty of room to stand on its own.
Fine petal outlines, small buds, and veined leaves give the illustration a carefully sketched character. A few loose petals beneath the main branch add a gentle sense of movement without filling the surrounding space.
Part of the Sakura Script Series: nine colorways of one cherry blossom composition.
